In anticipation of an upcoming House floor vote on H.R. 3221, the Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act (SAFRA) of 2009, we partnered with our friends at Kidango and others to collect preschool artwork to send to California’s congressional representatives. We hope that evidence of high-quality early learning will encourage legislators to pass the bill and its inclusion of the Early Learning Challenge Fund. We are still collecting artwork in anticipation of a Senate vote on SAFRA and its inclusion of the Early Learning Challenge Fund. You can join our efforts to collect preschool artwork by asking your favorite preschoolers to create artwork using our provided template and information.
Feel free to be creative and do something that fits into your curriculum! Here are some ideas you could integrate: drawing, other artwork, writing, shapes and colors, numbers and geography.

Please write the child’s first name, age, preschool name and location, and a title or brief description of the project at the bottom of the sheet.

Once you have collected all of the sheets from your classroom or school, please send them to us by September and we will make sure they get to California’s members of Congress:
