High/Scope Perry Preschool Project Through Age 40
(Ypsilanti, MI: High/Scope Press, 2004) Researchers have tracked the same group of low-income Michigan preschoolers for 37 years, and counting. They calculate a return of $17 for every dollar invested and report that children who attended an effective program were more likely than those who did not to graduate from high school and be more prosperous as adults, among other benefits.
