STEM education event highlights new teaching methods in science and math for kids in pre-k through high school

The fourth STEM Education, Economics, and Equity (SEEE) Seminar - Hands on Math and Science: What, Why and How? – recently took place at the SDG&E Energy Innovation Center. On site, participants enjoyed hands-on stations for every grade level, followed by a discussion on real implementation in varying environments and grade levels led by local San Diego leaders. This series of seminars shows STEM education relates to economics, social equity and educational policy.

The event was sponsored by the Center for Research in Mathematics and Science Education (CRMSE), Create, League of Woman Voters ( LWV), San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation, San Diego Science Alliance (SDSA), San Diego State University and University of San Diego.
