Preschool California is a nonprofit advocacy organization working to increase access to high-quality preschool for all of California’s children, starting with those who need it most.
We bring together K-12 educators, business leaders, parents, labor, law enforcement, early care and education providers, faith-based institutions, community leaders and others to achieve this goal.
Here's why we are so committed to our goal:
- High-quality preschool gets childen ready to learn. Pre-k provides eager young learners with early academic and social skills that prepare them to be successful learners in kindergarten.
- High-quality preschool helps kids become ready to read. Good reading skills are the foundation for all future learning. It’s best to build this foundation before kindergarten, in effective preschool programs.
- When done right, high-quality pre-k is a proven investment in school success.
